Please discuss the following rules with your children for safety purposes while at SFAC . The instructors created this list for the safety of everyone while at
SFAC.  Both children as well as adults are expected to abide by these rules at ALL times.

  • Your child must wait until your class has been invited to enter the Studio. Enter through the Studio area "In" door of the lobby.  (When leaving the
studio area, exit through the "out" door.  These will be locked at all times!  Do not enter the Studio area until time for your class to begin.  We cannot
allow any students in the Studio without permission.  For this reason, we ask that only students come into the class area at the designated time. We
do not have a facility that can handle the quantities of parents and siblings coming in to the Studio for class and still be able to run our classes on
time.  Please respect our need for organization and safety, and wait in the lobby or see the secretary if you need assistance.

  • We need good listeners in all classes. Please talk to your children (no matter what the age) and explain that waiting your turn and listening for
instructions is crucial!  We need this for successful class format.

  • Pony tails and tight fitting shirts are a necessity for all students.  Leotards are preferred for tumblers and gymnasts and are required for dancers and
preschoolers.  Convertible tights are also required for dancers and preschoolers.  Clothing can be worn on top of the leotard and then removed
when necessary, but big baggy shirts that are flying up and hair blocking vision are a safety hazard.  Body lines need to be seen for proper technique.

  • No running or playing on the equipment, EVER !!!  (Same for the Lobby!)

  • No tumbling outside the gymnastics room.  (Same for the Lobby!)

  • Cell phones should be turned off.  Distraction to the kids of who’s phone is ringing and the rush to get over there and see who called is becoming
    too much of a disruption.

  • When in class, your children are not allowed to go to any piece of equipment unless told to do so by an instructor.

  • We ask that adults do not come into the Studio area.  Our instructors are preparing for the next class and could have their minds in a hundred
places, please see our secretary if you have a question for the instructor and she will then insure that you get the information that you need at the
proper time.  Remember our teachers need a breather in between hundreds of kids coming and going too!

  • Your children will be responsible for their items and if forgotten, they may return to get them during the next Class Break or those items will be
placed in the Lost and Found area the following day.  Lost and Found is donated to Goodwill monthly.

  • No gum or candy (or food) in the Studio or Class area. Safety from choking is foremost concern!  See New Facility Rules and Guidelines.

  • We know that waiting in the lobby takes its toll on younger siblings; therefore, we recommend that you consider dropping off and picking up your
child if necessary.  If not, please try to keep a close eye on smaller children.  It is very dangerous for them to be unattended, not to mention that there
are items that could be damaged (or the child possibly get hurt).  Items damaged will be the financial responsibility of the parent/guardian or the
    child responsible.

  • We like to know when a child is dealing with any difficult situation (whether at home, with family, grades or anything else that may affect their
personality with others or a teacher) so that we may be supportive, encouraging or just be available to give good hugs and love.  In confidence, you
can e-mail us, send in a note, leave a message on the machine or dropping a note in the tuition box, which is checked daily alerting us to a specific
    situation of this nature.

  • We appreciate your help in continuing to make Sports and Fine Arts Center a successful and affordable hobby specialist.  Please feel free to e-mail:

Mandatory Etiquette
Handicapped Parking Spaces - We have parents with  handicapped children who need access to the handicapped parking spaces to drop off
another child yet the spaces are being taken for drop off and pick up.   Even though we don’t have handicapped clients in class and these spots are the
perfect places for drop off and pick up, we ask that you be considerate and not park in these spaces.

  Thank you for your assistance!
  • Tardiness affects others in the class and prevents your child and others from attaining proper physical and mental preparation for class.  We
understand that traffic and other issues can prevent you from arriving on time every class; however, consistent tardiness will require that you
consider changing to a class time that more suits your schedule.  As stated above, all children must be checked in with the secretary.  If you arrive
late, you may have to wait patiently for the lobby staff to check you in and let you enter into class. No student will be let into the center by knocking on
the glass.  Instructors and students have been informed of this change and will not be letting in students.  If you arrive more than 20 minutes late,
crucial stretching and warming up has been missed and your child may not be able to join the class due to the class lesson plan disruption,
    supervision and injury risk.

  • We need to curb students to come in and out of the studio area and into lobby area during class time. A water break is very short, and should stay
inside the studio area.  We have enough restrooms in the studio area to accommodate water breaks with minimal waiting.  Our instructors can not
be held responsible for the children if they are exiting into a locked area without permission.   One child should definitely not exit for any reasons
until class is over and should follow the group format.  Water bottles should be kept in the cubbies with shoes etc and there is no need to exit.

  • All children must follow all of the rules.  Of course new students who are uncomfortable and children leaving sick etc are necessary.  We are trying
to stop the in and out during class time yet be able to keep the viewing area open for parents.  If and when it becomes problematic, we will cover the
viewing glass and utilize the closed circuit camera system on the TV screen. * If your child is present for more than 2 hours during their dinner time
and have a dinner break between classes, this is fine; however, finishing a class that ends and entering a class that is half over is not fair to the
students who have attended the entire class nor will it be beneficial for your students training.

  • Your child must be attending the class that is on your registration form.  If you would like to change classes, check with the secretary to see if there
is space available.  You must then initial the changes on your registration form.

  • If your child is attending an alternate class, attendance must be confirmed several days to one week prior  through our secretary.  We no longer can
accept walk ins for classes.   Contact us via email sportsfineartscenteraccounts@windstream.net or via phone 704-821-1243 in advance.  Our staff
will then confirm there is appropriate space for the attendance and prepare a pass/ticket to have ready when you arrive.  Your child will then give
pass/ticket to the instructor. Please do not expect her to make exceptions for your attendance if you have not confirmed it several days or a week in
advance.  Your child may not be allowed to enter class if it has not been approved in advance. *Please allow 24 hours for response*
